Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.
A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
